I’ve lived in Philly for over a year now and my parents wanted to come and see what I’ve been upto since moving out here.  Here is a summary of our adventures.

Grabbing Philly Cheesesteaks

The 1st thing everyone wants to do upon arriving to the great city of Philadelphia is to grab a legit Philly Cheesesteak. They were so excited to get a cheesesteak that while I was giving them a tour of my room they discovered my cheesesteak hat and almost consumed it. Eventually we headed over to Tony Lukes, home of my favorite cheesesteak from the triple bypass challenge I did with David.

February Challenge- Balloon Animals

The Idea

I’m trying this thing where I push myself to learn something each month and I thought that learning how to make balloon animals would be fun. I also have to admit that after watching the trailer “We Bought A Zoo” that I myself wanted to buy a zoo, but since I’m strapped for cash I decided that the next best thing would be to create a zoo of balloon animals.

The Equipment

A total of $20 and I was on my way!

NJ Six Flags Adventures

Roller Coaster Rest Days : )

SEER Six Flags

I am kind of an adrenaline junky and roller coasters are always a good way to get my fix. I’ve been to six flags in California & Illinois and made sure to put it on my to do list out here in Philly.

Like a lot of things on my list they usually get pushed to the back, but luckily my awesome employer, SEER Interactive set us up to go to 6 Flags NJ for a company retreat. It was an amazing day with amazing co-workers. I will definitely be going back again soon.

Riding My Bike To Work

Shortly after moving to Philly I knew that I needed to get a bike. I’ve found that it is truly the best way to get around and enjoy Philadelphia. My favorite and go to path is the Schuylkill. You will understand why if you check out these photos from the Schuylkill. If you go on Philly Naked Bike Ride Day you will definitely see a different side of Philadelphia, but I digress.

So I started par-oozing through Craigslist for an urban steed to ride around Philly. It didn’t take long for me to find this gem for only $120!
