Well… We are still here in Utah. We decided the end of May that there isn’t any rush to get back to Texas so we are staying put until September. This was a hard decision to make as we are really anxious to start our new chapter. Not to mention we are CRAZY house hungry. We both feel that some patience, and waiting till the end of the summer will pay off. Plus, we didn’t really feel like going back to Texas with all the heat. So we are spending it here in Utah and looking for houses or RV parks until then.
Not much planned while we are here though… This Covid thing is hard in its own ways. We do our best to stay home and when we go out, we wear face masks. After going to the store we wash our hands really well and do our best to reduce the number of things we touch. So crazy. Dad recently hurt his knee so not doing much around the house. I still want to help him clean out the garage but it’s hard to do anything else besides take care of the baby.
Updates On Baby
Oh, man… This little girl steals our hearts every day. She is so incredibly fun and it’s amazing to see her grow. She is 18 months now and being more interactive. One of my favorite things is to hear her try and talk. She loves to sit in the Bumbo on the table and contribute to the conversation with her coos. Also, it’s really funny when she falls alseep.
We recently went down to Arizona to visit Bens family. Randomly, 2 of the siblings were planning on being there so we and Bens’ sister just decided to take a week’s trip of it and head down too. There were 7 grandkids there, 6 under 6 years old so it was a little loud. The siblings joked that we were all so consumed with watching our own kids that we didn’t spend much time with the other adults. Once all the kids went to bed, and we had a chance to play games, we were all so exhausted. Just a stage of life we all have to get used too.
We did go swimming there a few times. Blakely does NOT like the cold water and would start crying when we dipped her toes in the water. Yup! Thats our daughter! The second pool we went to was heated and she didn’t mind that one so much. It’s fun to see her trying new things.
Photo shoot!
Our sister in law does family pictures so we asked for a few and they turned out great!
How can such a little person be so photogenic?!?!?
Happy Fathers Day!
It’s been two years since I married this man… what an adventure we have had together. Traveling Europe and the USA in an RV, now raising a cute little girl. Life really is good with this guy by my side.
I recently saw a post on facebook saying that having a good dad was the best privilege anyone could have and I would have to agree. My father has been a wonderful example of unconditional love, and I’m grateful for a husband who has the same love for me. He is smart, hard working, loving, understanding, adventurous, and a good communicator.
Thanks for all you do.
