Oh man… It was a long week.
After meeting up in Big Spring, we completed our second leg of the journey to Carlsbad Caverns, which as AWESOME!
These caves are 70 stories below the earth surface. That is a lot of switchbacks if you couldn’t tell what this picture is.
I have never seen anything like it. Ben and I felt like we were walking on the moon.
It was a nice break after driving for two days. We went to the caves the day we arrived and then spent the next day working and recovering. After that, we were on the road again!
We drove the next day to Magdalena New Mexico. The sunset was amazing that night. We only thought to take a picture when it was about over. It’s a beautiful part of the country in its own way.
The next stop was at a family property near Snow Flake AZ. We stayed overnight with Bens parents and had a good time catching up and playing games. Really fun to see the landscape change.
The last leg of the journey was to Cottonwood AZ, just 30 min south of Sedona. Man! We were really relieved to stay put in one place for a few weeks.
We are excited to catch up on works and recover from the trip.
